Instead of Sugar
FOR THE LITTLES……..THAT KEEP GROWING
We are here as guides for our children and we can often forget they are humans, especially the little ones. They are just like us in so many ways. They are also the perfect age to start chakra balancing.
Red - Safety, Home & Trust
Kids Need to Be Rooted Too, Ways to work on their root chakra!
Get them outside, barefoot. Do it with them. Read more on my BLOG
Dress them in red.
Feed them red foods.
Buy a little red rug for them to sit, roll, or lay on.
What happens when you introduce red?
They embrace the color, its the color of our root chakra. The one that protects us, grounds us and ultimately provides us with that deep rooted safe feeling. There is some past life stuff here too. Pretty cool stuff. My suggestion to you would be to start small, keep it simple. One day at a time.
By the way… YOU CAN START THIS AT ANY AGE. Do it with them 🙂
Orange - Joy, Fun, Belly Laughs
Our emotions can be stored here, not all of them but a lot of them.
For the Littles: Trouble sleeping. I’m lonely, not enough attention. Overly loving.
Spreads smiles, loves to be kind.
Talk about feelings, make faces. Show me surprised, show me sad, show laughter!
Dress them in orange.
Feed them orange foods.
Color, paint! Use the color orange, all shades.
What happens when you introduce them to orange?
Well of course some kids may be hesitant but keep pushing, a little at a time. This tells you something too. This chakra is all about getting creative. If your son or daughter does not enjoy the color whether its food or paint or clothing. They need more creativity. Start there, pick any color and see what happens. Or buy clay, maybe they are a builder and not only a creator.
Yellow - Independence & Confidence
These are usually the toughest little ones in many ways. I know, I was one. Maybe I still am.
For the Littles: I need help. Just do it for me. I don’t want to.
“I’ll be back”. “I can do it.” “ Let me try.”
Help them make choices & teach them to be confident in the choice they make. No regrets. Move on. It will always be ok.
Dress them in yellow, hair bows & hats too. 🙂
Feed them yellow foods, try something besides a banana.
Give them tasks to complete on their own. From start to finish.
What happens when you introduce yellow?
In my experience almost every child embraces yellow, very few don’t. The little independent thinkers love it. In order for our children to become independent little people and then productive adults they have to be comfortable with themselves, not only within themselves. This is why we choose yellow, the color of the Solar Plexus Chakra to keep this energy balanced.
As I said before we are here to teach them, guide them if you will, so have your tween be helpful & learn as well. Ask them to help you, maybe with a grocery list or list to pack for a trip. Then complete the task by using the list they created. In my experience it also opens the door to teaching them study habits. If you don’t think this will work. Ask for help around the house or give them something to do that they cannot ask for help with. Push their boundaries, they are really smart you know & can do it, not only because you believe in them but because they believe in themselves.
To be quite honest, I am also wondering how long it is going to take one of these boys in this photo to say something to me. 😆😂 I have the rights don’t worry it’s mine and so he is. Yup, I’m his mom ❤️
Green - With Envy or Love
Love, jealousy, hate and heartache reside here. Let them feel, feel it with them too. ❤️
For the Littles: I want that. That’s mine. Sometimes they just take.
“I like your sneakers.” “You look pretty.” “You crushed it dude!”
How come everyone else can or has…..Have you heard this yet? Go back to yellow and do it with green.
Dress them in green, buy them green clothes.
Feed them green foods, try raw juices too.
Get them something special that is green, it could be a blanky for a baby or maybe something bigger for your teen.
Encourage them to be supportive and kind to others instead of jealousy.
What happens when you introduce Green?
If they are a teen they either love it or they hate it, either way give it a try. Be creative. It’s important we continue to embrace all of our chakras, continue with what you have learned. Keep growing.
Green is our heart, it’s our center.
Blue - Speech
Use your voice & teach them to embrace theirs.
For the Littles: No Noise or Lots of Noise
It’s funny how a little bit of manners can go a very long way. One of the first things we do as parents is teach our children to use their voice; “Yes please, or No, thank you.”
Dress them in blue, paint their room or get them a blue stuffed animal.
Feed them blue foods, try smoothies.
It’s the little things that go a long way here…. praise them differently. Let them know you are proud of them for using their words. Don’t silence them. Embrace them.
What happens when you introduce Blue?
You begin helping them with a balancing act. When is it appropriate to be quiet and when is it appropriate to be loud and silly. When to stand up for others and when to walk away.
Bring in music, sing. Sing, loud, sing soft. Humm mm, change your vibration to help theirs. No matter what you do with music it will be fun. Let them be free.
