You Are An Empath, But To What Degree?

According to numerous sites only 2% of the world’s population are Empaths. Here is what I say, we are all Empaths, to what degree is where we differ. If you are like me, a Medium, I can feel others pain. I can literally feel it. It has taken me years to learn to control this. To not absorb, to push it away, to remove it. It’s not my pain, my fear, my tears, my sadness, or my anger to carry. First it takes awareness then it takes practice. I work on it everyday, it is part of who I am. I no longer view it as a burden or a curse. I have learned to love all of myself. I embrace my gifts and my Empath side. I use my gifts to heal others and help them become aware, to become their higher self. The best version of them they can be.
Simply put on a low level, if your energy changes when you are around certain people you are an Empath. If you always have fun and smile when you are with a certain person or group, this is Empathic. It does not always have to be a bad feeling; this is often where we are misguided. You don’t need to go there or at least try not to. Notice when, where and who you are with when you feel your best.
On the flip side you should also pay attention to your demeanor if it changes when you are around a group or person you do not trust, where you don’t feel safe. If you make poor choices with people that you would not make otherwise, face yourself. Why? I am absorbing their lower vibe. I am feeling what they feel, why? Because we are all Empathic.
You do not need to physically feel others as I do to be an Empath. Learn to become aware of your vibration, when its up, when its down and most importantly when you are absorbing others energy. Is it bringing you up or down? Become aware.
I have more compassion than ever since I have embraced my gifts. I get to help others. We are all humans; we all have the capacity to feel. Some choose not to, while some are taught not to, and some just don’t know how. Numbing “pain”, sadness, heartache or anything that hurts has become common, in fact its recommended. It is time to feel. Embrace your humanness. Learn to control your emotions. Learn to have more compassion. Become an Empath. Its a gift.
